A method of estimating the amount of calcium bound to the metallochromic indicator arsenazo III.

摘要: As a metallochromic indicator for ionized calcium, arsenazo III is approximately 50 times more sensitive than murexide. However, because of the high binding constant following problems may occur: (a) considerable amount calcium bound to III, thereby causing an error in estimating concentration calcium; (b) varies with concentrations calcium;, magnesium ion and monovalent cations; (c) also pH, (d) relationship between absorbance change nonlinear; (e) cannot be determined by conventional double reciprocal plot. A new experimental theoretical method presented which copes these problems.
