摘要: Carcinogenic process has been proposed to relay on the capacity induce local tissue damage and proliferative repair. Liver a great regeneration currently, most studies point towards dominant role of hepatocytes in at all levels liver damage. The frequent cancer is hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Historical findings originally led idea that cell origin HCC might be progenitor cell. However, current linage tracing put hypothesis into question. In agreement with their regeneration, mature are emerging as HCC, although, specific hepatocyte subpopulation yet determined. relationship between (CCO) cancer-propagating cells, known hepatic stem (HCSC) unknown. It challenging identify definitive phenotypic marker HCSC, probably due existence different cells (CSC) subpopulations functions within HCC. There dynamic interconversion among CSCs, CSC non-CSCs. Because that, CSC-state currently defined description highly adaptable intrinsic property tumor instead static tumor. Altered conditions could trigger gain stemness, some them include: EMT-MET, epigenetics, microenvironment selective stimulus such chemotherapy. This heterogeneity dynamism makes out reach from therapeutic protocols directed single target. A further avenue research this line will uncover mechanisms populations tumors target it.
