摘要: iw3d is a tool for 3-d interpolation of scattered data. The program endowed with user-friendly graphical interface. interpolation-algorithm modified version the inverse-distance weighting method. It has capability quality-weighted interpolation. can be carried out sector-search approach reducing clustering effects. A semivariogram calculated three cartesian main directions to give an estimate selectable search-distance. Tests synthetic data set and large measured subsurface temperatures different qualities show good results. programmed Java (TM) GPL licensed open source. been successfully tested versions on Microsoft Windows, Sun Solaris several Linux distributions. current available at http://geomath.onlinehome.de/iw3d/.
