摘要: A process for inhibiting scale formation using a low molecular weight hydrolyzed polyacrylamide prepared by involving simultaneously and continuously charging separate streams of acrylamide monomer, ammonium persulfate (as catalyst) mercaptoalkanoic acid chain transfer agent) to reaction zone containing water under reflux, the rate being such that heat polymerization is sufficient maintain reflux in without exceeding capacity condenser remove reaction, then reacting polymer product with aqueous caustic hydrolyze from about 60 90% amide groups product.
