摘要: This paper focuses on selecting optimal process parameters for uniform single-layer weld bead deposition and the characterization of structures manufactured by GMAW-based wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) process. The results reveal that obtained grain vary due to local thermal cycle. Near base fabricated part, ferrite with pearlite is observed. At same time, observed grains become coarser along direction. Again adjacent final layer, finer are thin strips bainite, which has been confirmed through XRD analysis. Also, formation different chemical compounds such as ferrite, cementite, bornite, martensite identified at layers.
