摘要: We wanted to explore whether change in LA (left atrium) size would influence function, or increase regurgitation the atrioventricular valves. 595 male elite football players and 47 non-athletic controls were included. End-systolic volume RA area end-diastolic LV RV measured by 2-dimensional (2D) echocardiography Pulsed colour Doppler used estimate tricuspid mitral regurgitations. 2D longitudinal strain of 50 with largest volumes compared smallest volumes. The some athletes large atria more than tripled, small atria. however, could not reveal any impairment function atria, those LA. Tricuspid valve was found 343 (58%) athletes, 17 (36%) (p<0.01), while 116 (20%) 7 (15%) (NS). Furthermore, significantly larger without. present study demonstrated a huge variation atrial between athletes. This variation, had no impact on function. prevalent among controls.
