摘要: The End TB Strategy mandates that no tuberculosis (TB)-affected households face catastrophic costs due to TB. However, evidence is limited evaluate socioeconomic support achieve this change in policy and practice. objective of the present study was investigate economic effects a TB-specific intervention.The setting 32 shantytown communities Peru. participants were from consecutive patients throughout treatment administered by national programme. intervention consisted social through household visits community meetings, cash transfers conditional upon screening contacts, adhering treatment/chemoprophylaxis engaging with support. Cash transfer total value averaged US$173 (3.5% households' average annual income) mitigated 20% TB-related Households less likely incur (30% (95% CI 22-38%) versus 42% 34-51%)). mitigation impact higher among poorer households.The reduced accessible households.
