摘要: Rapid adjustments in the circulatory system rely on neurons within brain stem, spinal cord, and peripheral nervous that constitute autonomic reflex pathways required to cope with acute changes physical metabolic demands. Perhaps most important among these neural reflexes is parasympathetic arterial baroreceptor normally dominates heart rate control a beat-to-beat basis. At its simplest core, baroreflex includes only two central neurons, yet integrity of this compact loop one best clinical indicators risk sudden cardiac death.
