摘要: Clinical efficacy of the antiphlogistic potency enzymes (Wobenzym, 4 x 7 capsules/day) vs. Diclofenac-Na (2 50 mg on patients (n = 80) suffering from osteoarthritis knee in an acute phase was evaluated. The study design double blind according to GCP-guidelines. treatment period lasted 28 days and followed by a treatment-free controll-period another days. There equal status age, sex, duration impact both groups. clinical parameters as pain at rest, motion, walking, night tenderness showed significant improvement (p < 0.05) after period, with tendency relapse following observation period. No difference between treatment-groups could be seen. changes laboratory findings were observed. global-assessment (physician's patient's score) tolerability groups mostly stated "very good" "good". Adverse events reported as: Wobenzym: total 14 patients: gastrointestinal complaints (obstipation, vomiting, meteorism), allergic rash once dizziness twice, 6 these discontinued that reasons. Diclofenac: 11 (epigastrical pain, upset stomach, dizziness, 3 discontinued. All vanished intake stopped. Summarizing up it demonstrated evaluated drugs potency. So might assumed Wobenzym can used alternative substance painful osteoarthritis.
