摘要: Two-dimensional (2D) transition metal oxide and chalcogenide (TMO&C)-based photocatalysts have recently attracted significant attention for addressing the current worldwide challenges of energy shortage environmental pollution. The ultrahigh surface area unconventional physiochemical, electronic optical properties 2D TMO&Cs been demonstrated to facilitate photocatalytic applications. This review provides a concise overview properties, synthesis methods applications TMO&C-based photocatalysts. Particular is paid on emerging strategies improve abilities light harvesting photoinduced charge separation enhancing performances, which include elemental doping, functionalization as well heterojunctions with semiconducting conductive materials. future opportunities regarding research pathways are also presented.
