摘要: KEY POINTS The integrity of the baroreflex control sympathetic activity in heart failure (HF) remains under debate. We proposed use sequence method to assess renal nerve (RSNA). assesses spontaneous arterial pressure (AP) fluctuations and their related changes rate (or other efferent responses), providing sensitivity effectiveness baroreflex. Effectiveness refers fraction AP that elicits baroreflex-mediated variations response. Using three different approaches, we showed between RSNA is not altered early HF rats. However, provided evidence changing response markedly decreased HF. results help us better understand activity. ABSTRACT In (HF), reflex known be impaired; however, baroreceptor drive Applying a series (RSNA), demonstrated clear dysfunction rats with analysed using approaches: vs. curve, cross-spectral analysis RSNA. also provides index (BEI), which represents percentage ramps actually produce methods were applied induced by myocardial infarction. None employed gain able detect any differences group. exhibited lower BEI compared controls. Moreover, an optimum delay 1 beat was observed, i.e. required for respond after changing, corroborates findings timing these two variables. For 1, controls 0.45 ± 0.03, whereas 0.29 ± 0.09 (P < 0.05). These data demonstrate while affected HF, its decreased. novel insights into function.
