摘要: In aluminum-silicon cast alloys, the shapes of silicon phase and general solidification pattern can be changed by cooling conditions minor additions to melt. The either cause modification (sodium, strontium, other metals) or refine primary in hypereutectic alloys (phosphorus elements Group V-B). Detailed examination modified microstructures analysis curves are compatible with a mechanism involving growth rather than nucleation kinetics.
