摘要: The photophysical properties of a series para-substituted donor-acceptor cruciform fluorophores (p1-4) were investigated and compared with their meta ortho isomers (m1-4 o1-4). structural variations found to have significant effect on the solvatochromism, fluorescence quantum yields (Φ(fl)), lifetimes (τ(fl)), response upon addition trifluoroacetic acid. observed spectral shifts in absorption emission caused by protonation cruciforms make them promising candidates as chemosensors. Additional computational studies provided more insight into electronic structure systems.
