Synthesized elliptical lens with optimized extension for focal array fed lens antennas

摘要: We introduce in this paper a very simple configuration of focal array fed lens (FAFL) antennas for beam shaping applications. In contrast to previous works where the synthesized elliptical was illuminated by linear with complex forming network, we show here that similar performance can be achieved using much simpler without any optimization weight coefficients. This leads higher antenna efficiency.
