摘要: The nucleus tractus solitarius (NTS) is an integral part of the baroreceptor reflex arc. Thus, stimulation NTS elicits changes in arterial pressure and heart rate as well numerous other physiologic parameters including electrocortical activity. Serotonin (5-HT), which has been implicated cardiovascular control, present nerve terminals within NTS. Therefore, this study was designed to determine whether 5-HT may effect that control injected into anesthetized rats produced marked EEG, pressure, rate. EEG activity changed from irregular 1–5 Hz, 350–500 μV waves with overlying 13–15 low voltage rhythm a regular, 5 250–300 rhythm. dose-dependent were maximal at dose 400 pmol fall mean 48 ± 2mm Hg baseline 96 4mm 90 9bpm 18bpm(n= 6; P < 0.001). Both effects blocked by prior injection antagonist metergoline same site. However, bilateral microinjection did not affect reflex. although serotonergic mechanisms be involved modulation activity, they are
