摘要: Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) are the major polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) contaminating global water environment. This study investigated efficiency of granular activated carbon (GAC), ultrafiltration (UF) nanofiltration (NF) treatment for removing PFOS PFOA contaminants from lake water. NF gave greater removal all contaminant types (in terms organic matter, PFOA) than GAC which in turn was UF treatment. The lower by due to larger pore size membrane compared target contaminants. For processes, pH (4) feedwater showed rejection organics selected PFASs. likely increase electrostatic repulsion between solute sorbent. It could be observed that on increasing concentration feed solution, PFOA/PFOS decreased competition PFOS/PFOA binding sites membrane/activated surface. also noted protein content led influence carbohydrate or DOC content. demonstrated potential use processes emerging persistent pollutant
