A fuzzy histogram weighting method for efficient image contrast enhancement

摘要: Image contrast enhancement is an important step in digital image processing applications. In this paper, we present efficient approach, which employs a histogram weighting method based on fuzzy system. It able to enhance the of input images while preserving their details. The proposed divides original into three sub-histograms using Fuzzy clustering. obtained are weighted Mamdani inference system, and then they summed generate new histogram. produced modified reduce undesirable effects its spikes pits. Finally, enhanced by equalization system assigns appropriate dynamic range each interval gray levels (sub-histogram), hence enhancing Experimental results for different types verified merit terms preservation details improving contrast.
