摘要: Presently in the environment, there exist a number of chemical contaminants which share structural similarity with key naturally occurring regulatory hormones. These hormones play pivotal roles normal growth and development wildlife species humans. In particular, biphenolic compounds may have potential to act as agonists or antagonists thyroid hormone (TH) action. We investigated whether was any biological effect exposure low concentrations brominated fire retardant, tetrabromobisphenol-A (TBBPA), on TH-mediated process metamorphosis Pacific tree frog, Pseudacris regilla. Tadpoles exposed 10nM (5.4microg/L) TBBPA showed an increase expression gelatinase B mRNA within 48h tadpole tail associated increased resorption by 96h. Treatment 100nM (54.4microg/L) resulted receptor alpha brain reduced levels PCNA transcript tail. alone also found alter abundance tail, brain, both tissues premetamorphic tadpoles. Interestingly, beta not affected either presence TH. The results suggest that agonist TH action potentiate gene leading accelerated anuran metamorphosis.
