摘要: Study objective We assessed the performance of 2 new devices (2D- and 3D-Mercy TAPE) to implement Mercy Method for pediatric weight estimation contrasted their accuracy with Broselow method. Methods enrolled children aged months through 16 years in this prospective, multicenter, observational study. Height/length, weight, humeral length, mid-upper arm circumference were obtained each child, using calibrated scales measures. then made measurements blinded versions 2D- 3D-TAPEs. Using height/length data, we calculated estimated by measures mean error, percentage predicted within 10% 20% actual. Results Six hundred twenty-four participants (median 8.5 years, 27.6 kg, 17.3 kg/m ) completed Mean error was 0.3 kg (mean 1.6%), 0.2 1.9%), −1.3 −4.1%) 2D-, 3D-, Broselow, respectively. Concordance between both TAPE greater than 0.99. The proportion actual 76% 98% 2D-TAPE 65% 93% 3D-TAPE. Excluding 209 (33%) who too tall device, predictions 59% 91%. Conclusion TAPEs outperform tape can be used a wider range children.
