摘要: A description is given of the preliminary stages an ecological study effects acid precipitation and coniferous afforestation in Loch Dee Catchments Galloway area south-west Scotland. Information on current chemical, hydrologieal biological status loch its three major tributaries presented. Acid episodes pH < 4.5 occurred for 20% rainfall 1981 were generally coincident with movements air masses from areas high sulphur emissions to south, east north. In mean was 5.2 recent years artificial slocking has been employed maintain a viable trout fishery. The densities fish populations two inflowing streams sometimes 10 per 100 m2. During stream flow, concentrations free acidity (H+) aluminium range where significant reduction survival hatching would be expected. impact various forms calcium carbonate, spread catchments or added directly one stream, being monitored assess long-term changes ecology.
