摘要: In less than a decade, archaeologists have seen the discipline increasingly entangled in thriving dispute concerning political and ethical responsibility profession has to face, context of contemporary armed conflict. The recent western military interventions, Iraq, Afghanistan Middle East, ensured many heritage professionals became more involved with institutions. This trend was counterbalanced by fact that other members academic community strongly distanced themselves from this professional choice, challenging their colleagues on grounds. paper will put debate wider context, analyse issue several angles, in-order understand whether new conceptual framework could be help analysis dilemma. intention is explore if, when, under what circumstances, should get protect cultural heritage. exploration start evaluation some limits contradictions intrinsic ideals behind international law. Then it move towards contextualized politically dense considerations give closer look possible practical solutions.
