摘要: The genus Lepidocephalichthys is revised and diagnosed as having the seventh eighth pectoral rays modified in mature male. Other cobitids have different (second ray Cobitis). 17 valid species of are discussed compared. Fifteen redescribed: L. annandalei, arunachalensis, berdmorei, coromandelensis, furcatus, goalparensis, guntea, hasselti, irrorata, jonklaasi, lorentzi, manipurensis, micropogon, thermalis, tomaculum; two new described from Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar. kranos, species, distinguished all other except irrorata by conspicuous scales on top head its more anterior dorsal fin placement larger size. alkaia, a dark stripe extending snout, through orbit, continuing to terminus caudal fin. Acanthophthalmus sandakanensis reassigned Pangio based first second rays. Sexual dimorphism discussed, validity taxonomic history forkedtailed species. Species illustrated, key provided.
