摘要: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a complex, heterogeneous collection of conditions characterized by irreversible expiratory airflow limitation. The involves multifaceted progressive inflammatory process leading to the development mucus hypersecretion, tissue destruction, and disruption normal repair defense mechanisms. result increased resistance in small conducting airways, change lung compliance, premature collapse airways during expiration that leads air trapping. Neutrophils are necessary healthy lungs; they an important component innate immunity, protecting individuals against infection. However, COPD, play role destructive processes characterize disease. They can be responsible for significant damage when accumulate at sites inflammation harmful tissue. In recent years, understanding neutrophils has led improved knowledge pathogenesis COPD allowed new avenues treatment investigated.
