摘要: In this work, magnetorheological (MR) fluids using ionic liquids (ILs) as carrier were prepared. With aim, two different ILs, with low and high electrical conductivity, kinds of iron particles, either silica coating or without it, used. The viscosity the suspensions was measured, results compared theoretical predictions Batchelor's equation. deviations from equation used to make inferences on aggregation state suspensions. Contact angle measurements powder pellets also performed in order analyze wetting particles by ILs employed carriers. addition, sedimentation redispersion experiments carried out discussed view degrees inferred previously mentioned experiments. From all these experiments, it could be concluded that suspension consisting coated dispersed conductivity liquid presents best stability redispersibility properties. Finally, microscopic observations diluted suspensions, upon magnetic field application, showed most regular field-induced structure obtained for suspension.
