摘要: Abstract Modulated pumping of a Nd 3+ doped silica monomode fibre laser has been investigated experimentally. For small modulation depths the exhibits resonance at relaxation oscillation frequency, providing pulses few microseconds duration repetition rate in region 10 kHz, dependent on average pump level above threshold. As depth is increased, hysteresis observed as function along with optical bistability. further increase depth, chaos and period doubling are observed. Gain-switching also demonstrated.
