摘要: The chemistry of chelation is involved in some very important aspects the toxicology metals. first that toxic metals exert many their adverse biological effects by forming metal complexes with enzymes, DNA, or other molecules found within cells. Such chelate have properties which differ respects from enzyme DNA they contain. This has result binding can inactivate enzymes. We also find such are probably responsible for carcinogenicity certain chromium compounds react DNA. Another quite different aspect use exogenous chelating agents as drugs order to remove sites bound vivo.
