摘要: Synthesized and released by the adipose tissue, leptin is widely studied 167-amino acid hormonal protein product of obesity gene. Originally was defined in association with satiety energy balance claimed to be an anti-obesity factor that functioned via a feedback effect from adipocytes hypothalamus. There growing body evidence emphasizes importance regulation food intake weight animals humans, alike. Other research findings point out it plays role metabolism, sexual development, reproduction, hematopoiesis, immunity, gastrointestinal functions, sympathetic activation, angiogenesis. The aim this review evaluate relation between central nervous system (CNS).
