摘要: 1. The stomatogastric ganglion (STG) of decapod crustaceans has been characterized by its production two motor patterns, the gastric mill rhythm and pyloric rhythm. period is typically 5-10 s, whereas approximately 1 s. 2. In STG crab, Cancer borealis, we find routinely that many neurons are active in time with both rhythms. We rigorously identified according to muscles they innervate. Some usually classified as members network can be All except dorsal (DG) neuron generate pyloric-timed firing patterns. 3. Two innervate found several different regions stomach. inferior cardiac (IC) neuron, considered part network, innervates sac, mill, muscles. lateral posterior (LPG) chamber. 4. These data show networks crab not separate groups independently rhythmic behaviors. Rather, these together provide a synaptically connected pool from which pattern-generating circuits assembled, under physiological conditions.
