摘要: Abstract Over the past few years, capability approach (CA) has been increasingly recognized as a promising foundation of sustainable development despite persistent critiques its deliberative democracy concept. This paper theoretically and empirically analyzes CA's potential challenges for development. We find that CA is more suitable than standard economic theory theoretical framework Some, although not all implicit motivational assumptions, are confirmed by our empirical findings. also that, to overcome idealized concept deliberate democracy, will have be strengthened. finally discuss need future research ways further develop
