摘要: Presence of meiofauna in resuspended sediments was investigated a tidal creek system employing specially designed core sampler and quick freezing techniques. Forty samples were taken during 4 successive ebb tides to determine the distribution (a) overlying water; (b) sediment; (c) undisturbed sediment fractions each sample. Our experiments demonstrate that 1 3 % meiobenthic copepod subcommunity present overly~ng fractions, while only small percentage nematodes found simultaneously these layers. We suggest selected rneiofauna may disperse through tidally coupled mechanisms such phenomena should be addressed demographic community studies.
