摘要: Aerial photography provides a historical vehicle for determining long-term urban landscape change and, with concurrent daily streamflow and precipitation records, allows the relationship of anthropogenic impervious surfaces to be explored. Anthropogenic surface area in upper Accotink Creek subwatershed (near Annandala, Virginia, USA) was mapped from six dates rectified aerial ranging 1949 1994. Results show that has grown approximately 3% 33% Coincident this period, analysis mean shows statistically significant increase discharge response (per meter precipitation) associated “normal” “extreme” levels. Significant changes were also observed frequency at given volumes above below mean. Simultaneously, magnitude, pattern values ≥ 0 mm, 6.0 mm 35.0 either no or influence on streamflow. Historical basin appear related increases cover. is viable tool revealing ecosystem relationships, investigations extend beyond temporal spatial constraints satellite remote sensing data.
