摘要: Mixed ethnicity children are over-represented in the care system and constitute a significant group of those seeking adoption placements. Social workers presented with specific set concerns to find placements for mixed as they come from two or more cultural backgrounds. Practitioners face uncertain principles concerning how respond these issues, especially light social political pressures, within realm existing debates around ‘transracial’ adoption. There is danger that among uncertainties individuality child will be lost his her identity needs become viewed narrowly. may seek simplify classify identities process through pressures feel ‘matched’ This paper explores theories can provide some insight into difficulties practitioners help inform work practice this area.
