摘要: In this experiment, we measure ion temperature evolution of collisional plasma shocks and colliding supersonic flows across a range species (Ar, Kr, Xe, N), Mach numbers, collisionalities. Shocks are formed via the collision discrete jets relevant to plasma-jet-driven magneto-inertial fusion (PJMIF). We observe nearly classical shock heating ion-electron equilibration, with peak temperatures attained consistent heating. also cases where occurs in smooth merged structure reduced density gradients due significant intepenetration jets. application PJMIF liners, find that number degradation will likely not be at typical full-scale conditions proposed, degree interpenetration may an attractive condition for similar approaches which seek form uniform structures from
