摘要: Fossil fuels oil, coal, and gas are valuable resources that depleting day by around the world also imparting a negative impact on environment. Biofuel because of its dynamic properties; market values; being sustainable, renewable, biodegradable, economic, non-pollutant, abundant is an alternate source energy. Each country can produce it independently, these properties biofuels have become superior over fossil fuels. This chapter gives concise preface to It includes definitions; classifications; environment; implications; types production techniques like chemical, biochemical, physical, thermochemical techniques; lignocellulosic-biomass, feedstock energy crops, algae, micro-algae, all kinds solid wastes; prime importance (biochar, biomass), gaseous (biogas, bio-syngas, bio-hydrogen), most important liquid (bioethanol, biodiesel, bio-oil). Due increasing global warming climate-changing conditions, in near future biofuel environment-friendly resource will be substantial part world's demand, with no or zero polluting agents.
