摘要: This paper reports on an investigation of the relationship between polishing force and contact characteristics as tool approaches boundary a part surface during polishing. It was previous established that, for fixed abrasives, when is inner surface, pressure at approximately Hertzian full ellipse. The cannot be ellipse touches boundary. same could yield rather different distribution, thus rate material removal, within region. A model proposed to relate distribution close edge surface. takes into account changes near edge. Experimental results are also presented validate method.
