摘要: This study was carried out to evaluate the antibacterial activity of aqueous and organic extracts Thymus capitatus L. (Lamiaceae) leaves stems. Dried ground powder stems were extracted with water (aqueous extracts), ethanol, dichloromethane hexane (Soxhlet extracts). The these evaluated against bacteria using disc diffusion method. result obtained showed that had stronger than extracts. ethanolic extract highest yield products high all other solvents. results suggest essential oil as non-polar compounds could be main active in this plant. Therefore ethanol (LEE) compared oils (LEO) T. capitatus. LEO greater LEE. a broad spectrum Pseudomonas aeruginosa most sensitive bacteria.
