摘要: The objective of this study was to characterize and compare individual sexual network characteristics Black, White, Latino young men who have sex with (YMSM) as potential drivers racial disparities in HIV. Egocentric interviews were conducted 175 diverse YMSM described 837 partners within 167 sexual-active egos. Sexual partner alter attributes summarized by ego. Descriptives ego demographics, calculated race the compared. No differences found engagement HIV risk behaviors or concurrent partnership. Racial characteristics, including female gender, non-gay orientations, older age, residence a high prevalence neighborhood. relationship included type relationships (i.e., main partner) strength relationships. Network also showed differences, density assortativity race. Most direction effects that would tend increase incidence among Black YMSM. These data suggest may be driven and/or maintained combination race, increased density, rather than individual's behaviors.
