摘要: Abstract New and emerging technologies such as nanotechnology advanced materials are characterized by manifold areas of application high uncertainty, making the anticipation effects difficult. Since 2007, Austrian technology assessment project “NanoTrust” is dedicated to assisting policy-makers in issues surrounding safety applications. The choice was made early on build maintain a governance network take more active role contributing pre-emptive risk management initiation new processes. Characterized dominant frame broad scope, discourse places distinct focus scientific expertise strong interdisciplinary efforts. Ten years into project, nano has shown signs undergoing an institutionalisation process we reflect how have sought our neutrality independence TA practitioners. This exercise reflection seeks gain insights strategies employed practice when shaping at stages uncertainty engaging closely with actors networks over longer periods time.
