Governing nanosafety in Austria – Striving for neutrality in the NanoTrust project

摘要: Abstract New and emerging technologies such as nanotechnology advanced materials are characterized by manifold areas of application high uncertainty, making the anticipation effects difficult. Since 2007, Austrian technology assessment project “NanoTrust” is dedicated to assisting policy-makers in issues surrounding safety applications. The choice was made early on build maintain a governance network take more active role contributing pre-emptive risk management initiation new processes. Ten years into project, nano has shown signs undergoing an institutionalisation process we reflect how have sought our neutrality independence TA practitioners.
