摘要: Abstract 1. The activities of enzymes involved in the metabolism aminosugars were measured a particle-free enzyme preparation obtained from bovine tracheal mucosa. 2. This crude extract was capable catalyzing series reactions involving N -acetylmannosamine and leading to formation cytidine monophospho-sialic acid, immediate precursor sialic acid residues mucin glycoproteins. 3. Uridine diphospho- -acetylglucosamine 2′-epimerase, that catalyzes de novo synthesis -acetylmannosamine, synthetase further purified for kinetic studies.
