摘要: This article evaluates current evidence on the cost of emergency care. First, we reviewed data from national sets and found that aggregate spending care is 5% to 6% health expenditures but could be as high 10%. These figures are significantly higher than those previously published. Second, literature economic models results inconclusive incomplete. As an alternative, discussed activity-based accounting concluded it a promising research methodology for medicine. We conclude by advocating strategy demonstrate value strategic importance medicine rather minimizing its role in costs.
