摘要: Multiferroic crystals Ln1 − x MnO3 (Ln = Eu or Tb; Ln′ Y Ho) have been grown by floating-zone melting; the compositions of these are close to point concentration transition from orthorhombic structure hexagonal phase. Scanning microscopy has revealed that crystal boules a regular lamellar in form alternating layers and phases; this is typical materials obtained directional solidification eutectic composites. The local chemical phase unit-cell parameters phases determined. microstructure morphology structures described for different growth conditions. mutual orientation crystallographic axes neighboring determined electron backscatter diffraction. orientational features considered view both phases.
