摘要: Hard metal cutters have the attachment portion of their axial length which is cylindrical in cross section, mechanically secured by a transition fit within sockets provided suitable steel body, such as, for example, rock drill bit; contain local circumferential band deformed and compressed axially spanning innermost boundary maximum hard diameter upon assembly. This eliminates detrimental tensile stresses due to assembly; provides region high compressive stress reduce effective fatigue loads during drilling.
