摘要: One in six cancers humans has a viral etiology, and viruses are also major contributor to cancer incidence some animal species. Therefore, vaccines that control or reduce oncogenic virus infection promise significantly the overall global burden. Moreover, investigation of pathogenesis transmission cancer-associated provided profound insights into molecular biology more generally. The routes complex varied, including horizontal vertical transmission, case retroviruses, generation recombinant, transforming between infectious endogenous elements. Several puzzles remain: for instance, why certain human with high potential experimental animals not associated their natural host, such as BK adenoviruses? Most kinds tumors only appear after long incubation periods (e.g., Kaposi’s sarcoma) exposure other predisposing cofactors Burkitt’s lymphoma), indicating is necessary but sufficient agent tumorigenesis. Thus, majority individuals carry lifelong infections without ill effects, may be regarded occasional “side effects” much frequent transmission.
