摘要: BACKGROUND: The Community Balance and Mobility Scale (CBM) has been shown to be reliable valid for detecting subtle balance mobility deficits in people who are 61 70 years of age. However, item redundancy assessment time call a shortened version. OBJECTIVE: objective was create validate version the CBM (s-CBM) without detectable loss psychometric properties. DESIGN: This cross-sectional study. METHODS: Exploratory factor analysis with data from 189 young seniors (aged 61-70 years; mean [SD] age = 66.3 [2.5] years) used s-CBM. Sixty-one 66.5 [2.6] were recruited assess construct validity (Pearson correlation coefficient) by comparing versions Fullerton Advance Scale, Timed Up-and-Go, habitual fast gait speed, 8 Level 3-m tandem walk, 30-second chair stand test. Internal consistency (Cronbach α), ceiling effects, discriminant (area under curve [AUC]) between fallers nonfallers, self-reported high low function (Late-Life Function Disability Index) confidence (Activities-Specific Confidence Scale), respectively, calculated. RESULTS: s-CBM, consisting 4 items, correlated excellently (r = 0.97). Correlations s-CBM other assessments (r = 0.07-0.72), (r = 0.06-0.80) statistically comparable 90% correlations. Cronbach α .84 .87 CBM. No CBM-version showed effects. Discriminative ability (AUC = 0.66-0.75 vs AUC = 0.65-0.79). LIMITATIONS: Longitudinal studies larger samples should confirm results responsiveness changes over time. CONCLUSIONS: properties similar those can recommended as quick seniors.
