摘要: Walter Langbein (1907–1982) contributed to the growth of scientific hydrology in a number ways. His research publications introduced original concepts both theoretical interest and practical importance. He served on committees American Geophysical Union played key role promoting new approaches hydrological thinking. major launching International Hydrological Decade 1965–1974 establishment Association Sciences Committee Mathematical Models Hydrology 1967. was source inspiration many young hydrologists who have since made their own important individual contributions that discipline. It is timely useful look back at his personal contribution draw lessons it for our future work.
