摘要: The objective of this study was to investigate the frequency antibodies Toxoplasma gondii present in wild mammals that were trap captured forest fragments State Bahia, northeastern Brazil. A total 368 individuals (246 rodents, 104 marsupials and 18 bats) using live catch traps. Serum samples tested modified agglutination test, with a cut-off point at 1:25 dilution. occurrence T. 10.6% (39/368), being 16.3% (17/104) marsupials, 8.5% (21/246) 5.5% (1/18) bats. Antibody titers varied between 25 50 for 400 This is first report on certain rodent species (Thaptomys nigrita, Hylaeamys laticeps, Cerradomys subflavus), marsupial (Monodelphis americana, Gracilinanus microtarsus, agilis Marmosops incanus), bats genus Rhynchonycteris. presence demonstrates possibility these animals as sentinels toxoplasmosis, especially regions under high anthropogenic effect.
