摘要: Endoscopic techniques have contributed to early recovery and increased quality of life (QOL) live kidney donors. However, laparoscopic donor nephrectomy (LDN) may its limitations, hand-assisted retroperitoneoscopic (HARP) has been introduced, mainly as a potentially safer alternative. In randomized fashion, we explored the feasibility potential benefits HARP for right-sided in referral center with longstanding expertise on standard approach. Forty donors were randomly assigned either LDN or HARP. Primary outcome was operating time, secondary outcomes included QOL, complications, pain, morphine requirement, blood loss, warm ischemia hospital stay. Follow-up time 1 year. Skin-to-skin did not significantly differ between both groups (162 vs. 158 min, P = 0.98). As compared LDN, resulted shorter (2.8 3.9 < 0.001) loss (187 50 ml, 0.001). complication rate, stay different groups. Right-sided is feasible but does confer clear over yet. Further studies should explore value difficult cases such obese transplantation centers starting donation program (Dutch Trial Register number: NTR3096). Nevertheless, valuable addition surgical armamentarium surgery.
