摘要: The breeding behaviour and distribution of tucunare Cichla aff. monoculus were studied for 2 months during the season in Paragua River, Bolivia. Tucunare more abundant old remnant channels isolated lakes than main river channel. period was delayed c. 1 month compared to lakes. batch fecundity ranged between 3712 10 355 females weighing 460 1380 g, respectively. Gonad analysis egg-guarding or juvenile-guarding showed that a female able spawn once season. Nests significantly larger deeper river. maximum depth nests also differed significantly, being channel channels.
