Detection of atomic oxygen in flames by absorption spectroscopy

摘要: The absolute concentration of atomic oxygen in an atmospheric pressure hydrogen/air flame has been measured using Intracavity Laser Spectroscopy (ICLS) based on a dye laser pumped by argon-ion laser. Absorptions at the highly forbidden transitions 630.030 nm and 636.380 were observed equivalent optical length up to 10 km. relatively low intensity avoids photochemical interferences that are inherent some other methods for detecting oxygen. detection sensitivity is about 6 × 1014 atom/cm3 can be improved with better stabilization.
