摘要: In this chapter, a new approach that enables building active 3D/VR applications, called X-VR, is presented. The term “active” used to describe applications enable server-side user interaction, dynamic composition of virtual scenes, access on-line data, selection content, alternative visualizations, personalization, and implementation persistency. the X-VR approach, two techniques are used: content modeling, which provides prerequisite infrastructure for database modeling worlds, high-level models 3D environments. Dynamic accomplished by use X-VRML language. XML-based language extends standards allowing convenient databases, object-orientation, parameterization, imperative programming techniques. For model X-VRDB proposed. model, world conceptually divided into several distinct elements separately represented in database. These constitute main blocks advanced interactive applications.
